The Foundry Ignites June with a Diverse and Daring Lineup of Live Performances in West Stockbridge

Award-Winning Theatre, Acclaimed Musicians, Groundbreaking Comedy, and Unique Workshops Set to Electrify the Berkshires!
WEST STOCKBRIDGE, MA– This June, The Foundry in West Stockbridge ignites the Berkshires’ summer arts scene with a lineup as bold and eclectic as its mission. Prepare for a month packed with “dangerous work” designed to counteract the passive and connect audiences through joyful creation and brave exploration. From award-winning theater and trailblazing music to groundbreaking comedy and vibrant community showcases, The Foundry continues to be the region’s essential holding tank for raw, funny, and empowering live performance.
The June 2025 calendar at The Foundry features an array of talent and genres:
• Sunday, June 1, 7:30 p.m.: Seeing Rainbows First Birthday Pride Month Kickoff Kick off Pride Month with new, trans-led Berkshire arts organization, Seeing Rainbows, as they celebrate their first year of producing and presenting liberating arts experiences by and for trans people and all other marginalized persons in the Berkshires!
• Thursday, June 5 & Friday, June 6, 7:30 p.m.: TREATY: A Play About How To Not Blow Up The Planet After a chance meeting with a disarmament expert, playwright Chris Thorpe delved into the world of nuclear treaty negotiation. Based on conversations with organizations and individuals involved, including the Nobel Prize-winning ICAN, the play explores the people on either side of the nuclear debate and invites a conversation with the audience about finding space to discuss disarmament.
• Saturday, June 7, 7:30 p.m.: Namoli Brennet Experience the “among the best folk-rock artists in the country” (Tucson Weekly), Namoli Brennet. She reveals deft acoustic guitar chops, often incorporating foot percussion, loops, vocoder, and Kaki-King style tapping to create a broad, layered soundscape. A 4-time Outmusic award nominee who was recently named in the inaugural Trans 100 list, Namoli is also the recipient of the Tucson Folk Festival Songwriting Award and a finalist in the ISC songwriting competition.
• Sunday, June 8, 7:30 p.m.: Julia Scotti Get ready to laugh with Julia Scotti, named one of the Top Five Transgender Comedians in the Country by Advocate Magazine. Scotti made history as the first transgender comedian to appear on national television as a quarter-finalist on America’s Got Talent.
• Thursday, June 19, 7:30 p.m.: Swingers Real lovers. Real improv. Real laughs. Liz Butler and Ben Jardine are back! And this time with their friends from New York! What’s that? The jingle jangle of keys in a bowl? Swingers is an improv show featuring REAL improv power couples- how freakin cute is that?! Our couples will perform in duos (some for the first time together!) and the show will culminate in a “swinging” group scene (orgy, if you will).
• Friday, June 20, 7:30 p.m.: A Eulogy for Roman Witness a critically acclaimed theatrical piece that captivated audiences with its world premiere in Edinburgh and an Off-Broadway debut at 59E59 in 2023. “A Eulogy for Roman” was nominated for a Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Unique Theatrical Experience. (A collaboration with Spin Cycle NYC.)
• Saturday, June 21, 7:30 p.m.: Homos! A Solo Disaster Musical, bitch Prepare for an award-winning queer musical extravaganza by and starring the multi-talented Dan Kitrosser. This solo show (which performs monthly at The Stonewall Inn) promises a unique and unforgettable night of theatre. (A collaboration with Spin Cycle NYC.)
• Sunday, June 22, 3:00 p.m.: POCKET MOXIE: A Happenstance Vaudeville Enjoy a delightful afternoon with this light-hearted homage to the style and spirit of the Great Age of Vaudeville. Expect a charming family-friendly array of specialty acts, song, and dance reminiscent of the popular theatre from the late 19th and early 20th Centuries.
• Wednesday, June 25, 7:30 p.m.: Seán Dagher Immerse yourself in the diverse musical world of Seán Dagher. An active performer, arranger, and composer, Dagher masterfully blends various folk and classical music traditions, including Celtic, Baroque, Medieval, Arabic, French-Canadian, and Maritime.
• Friday, June. 27, 7:30 p.m.: Dog Funeral A new work in progress piece from the duo Jack and Zoe Comedy. Take the “fun” out of “funeral” and throw the rest away! Zoe Wohlfeld, renowned professional mourner, showcases her talents with the saddest funeral she can imagine: Dog Funeral. Sadness is Zoe’s passion, and Dog was Zoe’s best friend, so join this solemn ceremony and let Zoe show you how to pay respects with the big boys.
• Saturday, June 28, 7:30 p.m.: A Night of Drama Experience an improvised comedy show like no other! Think classic Dickens meets Hugo, with a dash of audience pantomime participation and a whole lot of (fruit) scraps. A truly spontaneous and hilarious evening awaits.
